The occupation of prison police is a high risk, high load, high strength, profession particularity determines, the prison police is bearing the work pressure which is significantly higher than the general population. The political nature of the prison is a tool of the people’s democratic dictatorship, it is an important part of the national machinery. Prison is responsible for the task of punishing and reforming the criminals, the front-line police is not only the corrections officer, but also as the role of production management and the educating teachers. Their occupational stress can not be ignored, the pressure of their work and life has exceeded its own tolerance range. Due to the prison system doesn’t have effective way to reduce occupational stress, resulting in one hand, a number of law enforcement officers prone to job burnout or physiological diseases, on the other hand, when the course of their work uncivilized law enforcement have occurred, resulting in a very bad social repercussions. Prison police is the executor of national public policy, their occupational stress is bound to affect the implementation of public policy and the development of the normal community’s operation.Starting from the study in certain Zhejiang province prison with the current situation of grassroots police occupational stress, through the relevant literature review, this paper expounds the organizational stress, sources of stress theory and stress management intervention, etc. Take the certain Zhejiang province prison as the research object, carried out a questionnaire survey, through empirical analysis to find out the pressure source of the certain Zhejiang province prison, the strategies of coping stress,the condition of health and job satisfaction. The study is from our country’s prison management mechanism, the operation mode of the prison police, prison function division, welfare, subsequent career development, etc.The purpose of the article is to understand the working pressure, of the prison situation in Zhejiang, By finding the cause of working pressure, we can effectively help the government produce the relevant provisions of the State,and improve the living environment and the management system of prison staff for maintaining social peace.
