With the development of society, the accelerating pace of life, people are facing increasingly fierce competition, also a sharp increase of pressure. Prison police, as a high-strength, high-load, high-risk occupation, due to the nature, characteristics and tasks of prison work, it often links with hardship, tension, difficulty, danger,etc. The enormity of their task brings about the result that the mental stress and psychological pressure of the prison police experienced is much higher than normal people.Occupational stress faced by prison police should not be underestimated, concerning about their occupational stress issues is essential. From this perspective, this article explores the factors that affect occupational stress of prison police and improvements and measures to deal with on this basis. Domestic research on the occupational pressure of the prison police is not much, and geographically speaking, prison polices in Guangdong Province never had been tested in a research. The research on occupational stress problems of prison police in Guangdong Province not only provides materials for regional researches and enrich our research achievements in this field, but also helps to reduce the work pressure and psychological problems of prison police of Guangdong Province, enable them to be more full of enthusiasm, more efficient in rehabilitating criminals and the great cause of maintaining social stability, so the research on occupational stress problem of prison police in Guangdong province has important significance both in theory and in practice. This paper contains five chapters.The first chapter introduces the research background of alleviating occupational stress of prison police, describes the characteristics of the social development of Guangdong Province and the significance of relieving occupational stress of prison police, present studies on occupational stress of prison police in the domestic and overseas, and explains the methods of this research will take. The second chapter introduces the related concepts and basic theories of the study, and the current adopted measures of relieving stress in prison, which basically provides the theories for further study. The third chapter describes the Guangdong Province in prison on the basis of profiles, designed to Guangdong prison police occupational stress and ease the situation for the content of the questionnaire, based on the survey to obtain data for statistical analysis. The existence of the problem and the reasons were analyzed, put forward a sound basis for further countermeasures.The fourth chapter describes the experience at home and abroad prison to ease prison police occupational stress. Respectively practices of other countries and China’s provinces in the United States, Germany, Jilin, Jiangsu, etc. were discussed research to the province in the prison police force equipped to improve the psychological quality of police officers and other specific practices for reference.The fifth chapter is to improve the countermeasures of easing occupational stresses of prison police in Guangdong Province. Targeted were made by improving the occupational stress Guangdong prison police organization strategies from prison, the prison police itself, the social aspects and non-governmental organizations.
