E-commerce as a new business model, is the great driving force of future economic development, and will be the core of economic activities in the twenty-first century. However, because of the openness of the network, the network has caused individual privacy, especially in the privacy of consumers, great difficulties. Privacy protection has become a major obstacle to the development of e-commerce. Many traditional businesses in the legal system can not be fully applicable to the requirements of e-commerce. Particularly, there are many problems and shortcomings in our country's law on privacy, which is impeding the process of China's protection of personal privacy, and is impeding electronic commerce in China consumer privacy protection. The paper mainly explains the meaning of e-commerce in consumer privacy, features, introduce the main protect mode, with emphasis on industry self-regulation model in the U.S.A and legislation to protect model in the EU, detailed analysis of the protection of the legal situation, and puts forward several proposals of improving protection of the rights of China. Finally, interpret the special protection of the consumer privacy in E-commerce. I hope this paper through above interpretation will benefit for protecting consumer privacy in e-commerce to our country.
