At the same time, even in western countries civil society has experienced ups and downs. However, today the renaissance of the modern western civil society theories provides us with more valuable references and experience.Next, this dissertation will explore the background about the rising of Chinese civil society and the problems encountered in the development. During these recent thirty years, civil society develops rapidly in China. Furthermore, government adopts effective policies and return the power which originally belongs to the society to its should-be owner. Under such a circumstance, civil groups gain a broader space for further development and civil right are respected and protected. Consequently, market economy is initially established. Finally, this dissertation will discuss the meaning and value of civil society theories to Chinese political democratization. The aim of civil society construction is to help build a democratic country. In order to construct civil society, government plays a vital role and needs to transform it functions and set up the platform for the better development of market and civil groups. In addition, the market integrity and the cultivation of citizens also play important roles. However, more in-depth analysis and more relevant practical experience are badly needed. We still have a long road to go to construct a more civil society.
