On The Political Participation Of Contemporary China Social Organizations

Based on the report to the 17th CPC National Congress, "In order to strengthen social functions of self-governing, it's important to give full play to the positive effects of social organizations in enlarging the scale of people's participation and reflecting people's appeals", which fully affirms the positive roles of social organizations in promoting grass-roots level democracy and guaranteeing people's democratic rights. Nowadays during the period of social transformation, especially with the transferring of government functions, the importance of social organizations become more and more obvious. It's essential to strengthen the constructions of social organizations, guide and encourage citizens to orderly participate in the construction of social politics, which is the most effective and direct way of guaranteeing citizens'democratic rights and encouraging people to more actively take part in the construction of a harmonious society.The analysis of this thesis begins with the situation of the development of contemporary China social organizations; that is to analyze the historical track of the development of China social organizations, the classification of contemporary China social organizations, the functions of contemporary China social organizations, and the operational mechanism of contemporary China social organizations, etc. The innovation of this thesis lies in dividing contemporary China social organizations into:political social organizations, economic social organizations and cultural social organizations. Therefore, all analyses start with the above three aspects; that is to respectively analyze their functions, operational mechanism, state of political participation, evaluation of political and social influences, difficulties and reasons for the difficulties in the process of political participation. Finally analysis is given to such three aspects as:firstly, experience and enlightenment of political participation of social organizations in the developed countries; secondly, reasonably defining the relationship between country and society, government and social organizations; thirdly, exploring the patterns of political participation for social organizations.
