In the new century, the selection of the Party and government talents attracts more attention.Assessment Center (AC),as an integrated talent assessment tool for assessing and selecting leaders,especially for senior officials,is playing a more and more important role in Human Resource Management(HRM) in public sector. To study application of AC in the selection of Party and government leaders systematically can not only improve the theories of modern talent assessment, enrich HRM theories of public sector,but also can be normalized the study of actual operation,which provides important references about designing and operating for the great majority of professional assessors in AC.Thus,the study has highly practical values.While in practice,through the intensive study and timely applications of this thesis, we can promote the validity and reliability of selection of Party and government leaders.And it is of great help to improve the Party's governing ability and standard,as well as carrying on scientific development idea and building Well-off Society.This paper focuses on "the application of the assessment center in the selection of party and government talent" from human resource management of the public sector. On the basis of the theory of the application of the assessment center,the author points out the major problem on the application of the assessment center in the selection of Party and government talent,such as the low construct validity of AC, the high cost of AC,the lack of professional research,theory and clear legal basis, in addition,some other obstacles by man.We analysis these problems deeply, and then propose how to perfect the application of the assessment center in the selection of Party and government talent, just as follows:First,improving the construct validity of AC;Second,controlling the cost of AC;Third,strengthening the basic theoretical research;Four,selecting and training the appropriate reviewers;Five,strengthening the legal system, improve the supervision mechanism.
