Teacher-student relationship is the most important and basic relationship in the educational field, the relationship between teacher and student could have a immediate influence on the quality of education and the healthy development of students. This study is supposed to discuss the teacher-student relationship in the viewpoint of social-exchange theory, that is, define the teacher-student exchange as a process of exchange the resource they have.On the basis of reviewing former researches and consulting, the theoretical hypothesis on teacher-student social exchange is put forward. According to it, the study designs a preliminary questionnaire on teacher-student social exchange of senior high school student after open-ended questionnaires, which is formed into the questionnaire. Then 728 senior high school students are investigated by using the formal questionnaire, and the effects of gender, gender, and academic record etc. are analyzed to explore the present situation of teacher-student social exchange relation.The main results of this study are as follows:(1) The teacher-student social exchange relationship questionnaire have 25 items, and composed of five factors, including close affection, respect for teacher, be willing to return, teaching methods, help and support. This questionnaire has a clear structure and favorable reliability and validity, can be used to be measured the quality of teacher-student exchange relationship.(2) In general, the quality of senior high school teacher-student social exchange questionnaire is good. The order of the rating of the five factors is as follows:respect for teacher, be willing to return, help and support, close affection, teaching methods. Therefore, we can conclude that the social exchanging of high school student and teacher is more placed on the respect for teacher.(3) The quality of teacher-student exchange relationship in senior high-school is favorable. Teacher-student exchange relationship in senior high-school has no significant difference on gender, the type of school, and grade, but it has significant differences on liberal arts, whether the students a Class cadre or not, dwelling place, and the rank of score assessment. The quality of teacher-student social exchange relationship increased with grade, grade one is the best while grade three is the worse; the key high school is better than average school; in the class, the class cadre are better than common student; The quality of teacher-student social exchange relationship also has much to do with the rank of score assessment, the higher the student rank, the better teacher-student exchange relationship the students have.
