Ancient poetry, as Chinese cultural treasures, is not paid enough attention in today's Chinese teaching of vocational schools.In constrast, from 1990s, Professor Wang Caigui, from Taiwan University, with a lot of scholars, has proposed scripture reading education. Since then, in the Chinese community, reading activities were vigorously carried out together, all kinds of Chinese culture classes are extremely popular.And even some parents let their children abandon school to participate in this community-run Chinese culture classes. As a secondary vocational school teacher, the writer is worried about this contrast. So in the past few years,the writer has made some efforts to attempt her own teaching practice, namely, strengthening the teaching of the ancient poems, to explore the infuture of the classics on the students who are in the growing period. This article is a summary of this practice, but also a number of theoretical exploration. The writer hopes that this paper will be used for reference by vast number of teachers who work in the first line.The introduction summarizes the research background, research methods and the value and significance of the topic.Chapter one:Starting from the present teaching situation, this paper analyzed many reasons of poorness and ignorance of ancient poetry teaching in nowadays vocational school by questionnaire.Chapter Two:Acording to the current situation, the writer explored a variety of teaching methods of ancient poetry, such as reading, focusing on key points, realizing man and discussing world and creating situations by combination the writer's practice and experience of colleagues and predecessors.Chapter Three:The writer proved the effects of strengthening ancient poetry teaching on students' language and literature cultivation. moral, aesthetic ability and the improvement of emotional intelligence by the comparison of before and after practice.Talked about innovation of this paper, further integrates a variety of teaching methods of ancient poetry, based on the research of others. And it proposed the impact of strengthing ancient poetry on vocational school students'emotional intelligence. So it tested the multi-effects of ancient poetry study on students' cultural study and on way students work and live.
