More previous empirical researches, which is related to work stress, stress reaction and middle variable, show that it is the organizational commitment not occupational commitment that the result variables of work stress focuses on.With the in-depth study of the commitment researches, occupational commitment becomes a focus.On the basis of the previous studies, this thesis concentrates on discussions on the relationships among work stress, perceived organizational support and occupational commitment by surveying counselors in colleges by means of the integration of theoretical analysis and empirical research. This thesis mainly discusses three aspects as follows:(1)Based on previous studies and academic analysis, it will analyze the dimensional construction of the counselors'work stress, perceived organizational support and occupational commitment, and put forward concept model from theoretical perspective; (2)We have selected 220 counselors as the survey objects and carried out random sample surveys in the colleges of Shenzhen area and in the counselors QQ group of the network;(3) Taking advantages of the SPSS11.5 analysis technology, this paper explores the value of the demonstration data in supporting our hypotheses.Main conclusions of this thesis are as follows:(1) Counselors'occupational commitment includes three dimensions--affective commitment, continuance commitment and normative commitment. The occupational commitment is on the low-middle level.(2) Counselors'work stress seems negatively correlated with perceived colleague support affective commitment and normative commitment, while positively correlated with continuance commitment. Meanwhile, job stress(in some dimensions) has some effects for the generation of occupational commitment(in some dimensions).(3) Counselors'work stress is negatively related to perceived organizational support. Job future and job reputation, the two dimensions of work stress, are negatively related to perceived supervisory support and perceived colleague support.(4) Counselors'perceived organizational support is positively related to affective commitment and normative commitment respectively. But Perceived colleague support, one dimension of perceived organizational support, is negatively related to continuance commitment.(5) From the dimensional perspective, counselors' perceived organizational support has both mediating effects and buffering effects during the influencing process of work stress on occupational commitment. It shows its great influencing complexity.At the end of this thesis, it proposes suggestions on college counselor's self-betterment and its management based on previous conclusions.
