The multimedia provides convenience to presenting diversified information for classroom teaching. In recent years, classroom has trend to popular following the constant progress of the computer technology and the network, and the continuative falling price of information equipment. More and more teachers teach by using multimedia and network technology. However, as researchers pointed out, technology is a double-edged sword. So far, there are still many problems in the application of multimedia technology for classroom teaching. The teaching effect is not ideal. The way and characteristics of presenting of multimedia teaching information is one of the chief reasons which affect learning in the class. Some scholars pay attention to the problem how to present information and optimize the teaching effort. Mayer thinks that there are three process in the multimedia learning. They are selection, organization and integration. Mayer gives some ways according to experience to help students choose, organize and integrate information, but Mayer has not done empirical research for these ways as yet. The meaningful learning has three inner factors. They are choosing information, organizing information and integrating information. So this thesis gets the influence of media representation to processing information by analyzing literature, and builds a structural equation model between media representation and processing information. Trying to find the ways for students to choose information, organize information and integrate information during the study by empirical analysis, and hopes for providing ideas for the further research.Based on the characters of multimedia and the principles of designing multimedia information by Mayer and You Zeqing, this thesis chooses the easy reception of media, the suitability of media, the reduction of the cognitive load, the monitoring of the cognitive process, and analyzes the influence relations between this four factors and choosing, organizing, integrating. This thesis makes the on-site investigation by using paper questionnaire to undergraduate of He'nan University, and uses SPSS for exploratory factor analysis of samples.The result proves that the media presentation has 5 factors: the adaptation between picture and content, the easy reception of the picture, the reduction of the cognitive load, the easy reception of words, the monitoring of the cognitive process. The information processing scale has three factors, the choice, the organizing and the integration. Using AMOS test the model by the collected data, the results proves the following five factors:①the words'easy reception has a significantly positive effect on choices,①the monitoring the information processing has a significantly positive effect on choices,③the monitoring of information processing has a significantly positive effect on organization,④the monitoring of the information processing has a significantly positive effect on integration,⑤the suitability of pictures has a significantly positive effect on integration.The result of the research has some realistic meaning for designing information of teaching by multimedia, and provides ideas for the further research.
