Research On The Applicaiton Of Home-school Cooperation In Junior Middle School Chemistry Teaching

The well-known educator Mr.Tao XIPing said: "School edueation will be feeble,if school,family,social do not integrate." Chemistry teachinghome-school cooperation is particularly important to solve the problem about how to increase the efficiency of student's learning.Junior high school chemistry is mostly based on daily life. The home-school cooperation can take more flexible approaches, for example, students can carry out small practical chemical experiments at home,or they can visit the factories to observe the production processes. The author of this article did some experiments in two classes. In a certain period of time, the students of one class studied under the condition where there was good home-school cooperation while the others kept studying under normal circumstances. Upon analysis of the data gathered through the conduction of various surveys,the author discovered that students in the home-school cooperation class,with the joint efforts of classroom teachers and parents,mostly showed greater interests in learning and imporving their study results dramatically. At the same time, these students had also developed more accurate chemistry knowledge and better understanding. In addition, parents were very happy to cooperate with the teachers. Through the professional guidance of the chemistry teacher, parents and students did learn and improve together. In fact, the home-school cooperation not only helped the students improve their study,but also played an important role in improving their family relationships.In this study,the author uses her own classes of students as research subjects, which is relatively a small group. The conclusions therefore have some limitations. However, she hopes that this study still can help to draw more attention to home-school cooperation in junior high school chemistry study.
