Cooperative learning is one of the most concerned education theories at home and abroad. It is an exploring and revolutionary class teaching way after the traditional way. Cooperative learning is a way to achieve the learning goal by dividing tasks among the students of the same group which has one common goal. It is not only of benefit to the improvement of students'grades, but good to the cultivation of students'ability of thinking, self-esteem, self-confidence and ability of communicating with others, which implies human-oriented education theory. Nowadays, cooperative learning has its sound theoretical foundation and it has been carried out and studied comprehensively all over the world. However, has cooperative learning really reached the expected effect in our daily class teaching? When cooperative teaching is applied to class teaching, every specific class has its certain characteristics and certain situations. The different ways the teachers have used in carrying out the cooperative learning lead to different effects. The real result is far from satisfactory compared to the ideal effects. Therefore,,the author tries to make a study on the possibility of carrying out cooperative learning in senior high school classes and put emphasis on the significance of the real effect. The author analyses the elements influencing the effect of cooperative learning and the existing problems and tries to put forward some practical method to improve the effects of cooperative learning in senior high school classes. The author sincerely hopes to make some contributions to the improvement of the study and application of cooperative learning.
