The Establishment And Application Of Performance Management System In The Case Of Lanzhou University

Now, Performance Management, has been widely applied to the strategic management of business community and becomes an important management method owing to its well-developed system, simple processing and ever-increasing virtuous circle.A class is the basic unit of a university and the management of a class is the key point of student management in college. Exploring the new model of class management contributes to the improvement of student management of universities.This article, which is based on the present situation of class management of universities as well as in the case of Lanzhou University, discusses the new model of class management and tries to apply the Performance Management Theory, which is advanced and widely accepted by business community, to the management work of university class. In detail, this article discusses the value and importance of Performance Management in student management and how to establish performance management system of university class. In addition, this article explores the mechanism of performance management of university class, which incorporates four sections: goals setting, process control, performance review and implementation.Finally, the implementation method was to choose two classes as specimens, applying Performance Management into one class. One semester later, I compared the results of evaluation metrics between two classes to see whether or not Performance Management makes a difference. The result indicates that the introduction of Performance Management makes a positive contribution to student management, with the result that it obviously enhances students' development in the field of self-management as well as ethical quality.Based on my practice in student management, this article discusses how to apply Performance Management into the practice. In addition, it is necessary to state that performance management of university class gives priority to innovation of management ideas but not the make-up of old management model. It focuses on changing counselor's methodology towards student management.
