With the development of higher education, college management staffs play an increasing important role. Job satisfaction, an emotional response to the work environment and the comparison between the work expectation and actual value, can give birth to the diverse performance. Therefore, focusing on the college management staffs, it provides a reference to the management of staffs and decision-making. By digging into the major influencing factors and factors affecting the job satisfaction, it greatly enhances management staffs'satisfaction and management performanceThis study analyzes and discusses the characteristics, problems and causes of job satisfaction, whose samples were collected through questionnaire and interview with six universities in Ningbo.Chapter one, the preface and basis of the paper, accounts its background, significance, research approach, with a focus on the preparation, reliability and validity of the job satisfaction scale. Chapter Two sorts the related theories and research results about job satisfaction of both home and abroad, laying the theoretical foundation of this study. Chapter three sums up the current situation and existing problems within job satisfaction by analyzing the data gained from questionnaires and interviews Chapter Four discusses the main factors affecting job satisfaction. Chapter Five puts forward the strategy to improving university staff job satisfaction.The study results show that the level of current college management satisfaction is slightly above average, namely general satisfaction. The staffs are content with factors as working relationships, working conditions, work itself, organizational climate, work stress, etc, while dissatisfying with compensation and benefits as well as work status. After analyzing problems and Digging deep-seated reasons. The final conclusion is that the linkage of society, universities and individuals is a good way to improve college management staff's job satisfaction.
