What inadaptation would freshmen have when they enter university? what kind of confusion would they experience? How to shorten the adaptation period and complete the change successfully? From inadaption to adaptation, what are the sources of support and influence? This study is designed to solve these problems creatively.Based on the qualitative research method and the principle of convenient sampling, the present author interviewed 8 freshmen for 2 to 4 times from October 2008 to May 2009 and tracked down part of their campus life in addition to their weblog as supplementary materials which provide a rich first-hand information for the qualitative research. Meanwhile, in order to fully and objectively reflect the adaptation of freshmen and to overcome the drawbacks of qualitative research, the present author conducted two rounds of questionaires in 200 randomly selected freshmen in three departments of ZZLY Vocational College in October 2008 and March 2009. The results of the questionaires obtain new data for the overall freshmen adatation.In the form of case analysis and data supplement, the present study describes the confusion and discomfort of freshmen in learning, interpersonal relationship and everydaylife when they enter the vocational university. It also presents the changes in these areas among six months after enrollment and shows the process of adaptation in a vivid and comprehensive way. Meanwhile, through mining the related channels behind the changes and analyzing the related effects, this study presents a multi-channel support of freshmen in the process of adaptation, which provides guidance and reference for vacational education.The results turn out that the freshmen would be influenced by various factors both from campus and from society. All these factors bear a wide range of fearures. Only the educators or students themselves treat the factors in comprehensive and objective way, can they help the vocational students successfully go through the adaptation period and lead the college life in a positive attitude.
