Recently, crime rate of minors is rising at an alarming rate, so crime of minors has become the worldwide third-largest social nuisance after "environmental pollution" and "drug abuse and trafficking". Crime of minors has become a sweeping global social issue. Great concern of every country around the world is aroused how to prevent and reduce juvenile crime. It is an urgent problem of preventing and reducing the juvenile crime. The main key of preventing and reducing the juvenile crime is that found out the cause of such crimes and set scientific and effective preventive measures.Here, based on a sample of related crime theory which is the situation of juvenile crime in Foshan, Guangdong Province, attempting to analyze and summarize the characteristics and the cause of juvenile crime, in addition, explore the solutions of juvenile crime prevention, which will be useful for preventing juvenile crime.The first part summarizes the characteristics and situation of current juvenile crime in Foshan. According to the juvenile crime statistics from 2003 to 2009, there is a brief summary of the general overview about juvenile crime and initially, the main subject characteristics of juvenile crime in this district such as the criminals trend to the young, most of criminals are male, general education level is quite low and the major proportion is the farmer and the unemployed, the object of the crime is diversity and complexity, the characteristics in subjective aspects have motives of crime and the purpose of uncertainty and the characteristics in objective aspects are adult, violent and gangs criminal methods, crime happens suddenly strong and so on. It is a solid foundation to analysis the cause of juvenile crime and put forward preventive proposes.The second part, it analyzes the cause of the juvenile crime in the criminal sociology, criminal psychology and criminal empiricism, and initially, summarizes awareness of minors exist defects, the distorted values and two individual aspect reasons is the changeable physiology and the unstable psychology. It discusses simply or deeply the topics. One is the negative factors of social distorted values, bad atmosphere negative culture, weak protected and constraint and so on. Other is the disadvantage factors of abnormal family structure, error education from parents, discord family atmosphere and so on. Another is the faultiness of the guiding ideas of school with deviations, schools with poor management, some teachers with low quality, lack of communication with parents and so on.The third part concludes correspondingly the cause of juvenile crime to propose suggestions of some measures in preventing juvenile crime, including through building harmonious families, improving schools'educations, purifying the social environment to structure the external environment of growing healthy juvenile to strengthen the social prevention and by improving self-discipline and self-control ability of minors to strengthen the individual psychological prevention of minors and across expanding the scope of probation, relaxing sentences and parole conditions, provisioning non-penalty method of dispositions and the approach and means for community corrections, which is in order to strengthen the juvenile crime penalties prevention and so on.
