Study On The Current Status And Countermeasures Of PE Teacher' Scientific Research In Jiangxi Normal Colleges And Universities

With the development and progress of our education area, Physical Education has been becoming an important and essential part in higher education. Similarly, with the reform and development of education system in the new period, higher request is put forward for PE teachers. PE teachers are no longer as a teacher simply, they also play the role as researchers, who are responsible for a certain scientific research. Therefore, physical teachers' a certain degree of research ability is necessary for them to adapt the current education development tendency which combines teaching and scientific research, that is to say, colleges PE teachers' team should be a teaching and scientific type, this duality of teaching and research ability is PE teachers should posses. This study took a number of physical education teachers as the objects, who are from 5 representative colleges or universities in Jiangxi Province. Literature, questionnaire and mathematical statistics are applied to the study. It analyzed and studied the teachers' academic scientific research, age, degree, title, internal factors, external conditions, and results of scientific research so as to affirm our achievements identify shortcomings and its restrictive factors, and propose ideas and measures for the future development. The conclusions of this article are as follows:(1)There are better development foundations and tendency for Jiangxi PE teachers'scientific research, PE teachers'scientific purpose is clear and their attitude is positive.(2)In the whole PE teachers' team of some colleges and universities in Jiangxi Province, as for qualification and degree structure, doctor degree is 8.18%, master degree is 34.59%. compared to the requirements of our country, there still have a certain degree of gap. As for age structure, most of them are middle-aged and young teachers, among them, the teachers younger than 40 take up more than 66%. Showing the characteristic of younger, this is conducive to the role of young and potential for development. Nearly, for title structure, the proportion of every level is fine, but also exist the phenomenon that the number of professor is relatively small. Overall, teachers'English ability is poor. (3)There is a distinct difference on choosing scientific research purpose for different titles PE teachers in Jiangxi province, but also has a common characteristic, the direction of teachers'is clear, most of them for title assess, about more than 80% chose title assess as their scientific research motivation. Therefore, at present, titles assess is the primary motivation for most PE teachers to taking PE scientific research in Jiangxi Province.(4)To research methods, More than 90% PE teachers chose Literature to obtain their research material. Logic method is adopted generally for processing and studying material; while quantitative analysis of mathematical statistics method is rarely used.(5)The sports departments of some colleges and universities in Jiangxi province have attached more importance and given more support to the PE scientific research; PE teachers can gain a small amount of funds, but the material rewards is not enough, In addition, the distribution of library materials, experimental apparatus, equipment and other hardware facilities is extremely unbalance; about using computers, just for certain simple word processing and literature consultation, and doesn't put it into further scientific, these phenomena mentioned above are still restricting the development of PE scientific research in Jiangxi colleges and universities.(6)The teachers of physical education institutes in some colleges and universities in Jiangxi province have got some achievements in PE scientific research for the last three years. Meanwhile, there is a writer group which is relatively stable and of certain scale, but the core author groups are relatively fewer in number. Middle-aged and young teachers become the mainstay group for PE scientific research. From the title, lecturers and vice professors publish more papers than others.(7)The situation that the physical education institutes of some colleges and universities in Jiangxi province have undertaken the research projects and obtained rewards which are both above the provincial department level is rather centralized and unbalanced. It almost focuses on some key universities; Since the PE teachers' work is primarily centered on teaching and training, their achievements in scientific research are also centered on physical education and sports training, while Human Movement Science, Humane and Sociological Science of Sports and other directions possess relatively small proportion, the research on the Sports Psychology and the National Tradition Sports is obviously insufficient; In general the popularization and application of the scientific research achievements are correspondingly deficient.
