In recent years, demolition area increase sharply to meet the need of urban development, and the petitions also will be increased caused by demolition and relocation conflicts at the same time. Most of the current study for the petition focused on acts of congregate petitions, events, and processing, while no study concern about the needs and problems of petitioner group and solutions. Recently, G agency is involved in the intervention for petitioner groups. They try to use professional social work methods to solve the problems and varieties needs that petitioning groups faced, which has a pioneering and innovative function.First of all,the paper introduce the background of social work intervention and the needs and problems which petitioner groups faced, and then investigate the social work intervention strategies, such as:easy things first- gradually establish a professional relationship, from individuals to groups- the expansion of professional relationship, point of penetration- meet the needs of petitioners. Secondly, the paper discuss the intervention content which focus on the economic compensation, counseling, family relations adjustment and community-based social work activities, and evaluate the effectiveness of social work intervention. Finally, the paper will reflect the advantages and disadvantages of the social work intervention for petitioner groups from a professional perspective, and initiate more attention for this special group. Moreover, make some contribution to promote the indigenization of social work in these areas.
