Teaching and research teams are the primary-level organizations in school for teaching and research. They play an important role in the ensuring new curriculum and promoting sustainable development of school. However, in practice, teaching and research teams in high school are dysfunctional in some respects, they can't adapt to the requirements of educational reform and development very well. The study found that the teaching and research team is an effective model for improving the teaching and research.First of all, through the literature study, we know that the teaching and research team is an organization that composed by the same subject teachers, and its major purport is discussing and resolving the practical problems of teaching. It has the ability of continuous learning and cooperation. The study of teaching and research team is rooted in the study of psychology, management and education. In the context of new curriculum, this paper made an in-depth analysis of teaching and research team's function, characteristic, necessity and feasibility.Secondly, this study made an investigation on the issues relate to the teaching and research group in high school by a more than one hundred teachers' questionnaire survey in Putian City, Fujian Province, to reveal the current situation of teaching and research group in high school in the context of new curriculum. And finally, this paper proposed a series of guidelines and practical measures at the macro and micro level for the construction of the teaching and research team.
