The arrival of the era of artificial intelligence has had a great impact on education,and also put forward new requirements for talent training.High-order ability has been paid more and more attention,and logical reasoning ability,as one of the higher-order ability,plays a more prominent role in education.Primary school stage is the starting point of children's formal education and the key stage of cultivating the logical reasoning ability.There are more and more researches on how to develop the logical reasoning ability of pupils.Studies have proved that programming learning development and training to children's logical reasoning ability,but primary school students in the concrete operational stage,learning abstract programming language needs depends on the specific things,robot education for primary school students through programming development logic and reasoning to provide the support representational,how in the primary and secondary schools to carry out the robot teaching is becoming more and more attention.Design-Based Learning changes students' learning styles.In traditional learning,students passively accept knowledge,while in Design-Based Learning,students become explorers and discoverers of knowledge.Therefore,Design-Based Learning has attracted extensive attention from researchers.This study reviews the domestic and foreign related researches on Design-based Learning and the development of logical reasoning ability,and lays the theoretical foundation for this study.Based on theoretical analysis,this study constructed a Design-based Learning model to support the development of pupils' logical reasoning ability in robot education,and carried out robot teaching design.Influenced by the COVID-19,experimental subjects with the same knowledge base and logical reasoning ability cannot be selected,so stratified teaching is carried out during the implementation of the experiment.The teaching of this research is divided into two stages: "Basic Knowledge of LEGO Robot" and "Design of LEGO Robot".The teaching of "Basic Knowledge of LEGO Robot" is to help students build knowledge reserve,while the teaching of "Design of LEGO Robot" is the stage where the teaching experiment is really carried out.Robot education is carried out through Design-based Learning,so that students can truly design robots independently,observe and record students' classroom performance in the process of robot design,collect and sort out relevant data,and provide support for verifying the teaching effect.Firstly,the Design-based Learning model which supports the development of pupils' logical reasoning ability in robot education is constructed to develop pupils' logical reasoning ability in robot education.Next,the Design-based Learning model,which supports the development of primary school students' logical reasoning ability,is used to carry out teaching in the robot course.The teacher,as the creator of the situation,the publisher of the task,the organizer of the design activity,and the solution of the difficult problem,guides the students to design the robot independently,and encourages the students to make comprehensive use of the knowledge they have learned in the design process,make rational judgments,logical reasoning,and complete the robot works.Finally,through the design performance of students to explore the change trend and development of students' logical reasoning ability,through the analysis of data to explore whether the model can support the development of pupils' logical reasoning ability,to provide guidance and suggestions for the development of pupils' logical reasoning ability in the future teaching.The final conclusion of this study is that Design-based Learning in robot education can support the development of pupils' logical reasoning ability,and the changes of pupils' logical reasoning ability can be reflected through their classroom performance.For students with different initial knowledge base and different initial logical reasoning ability,design-based learning supports the development of their logical reasoning ability.
