The Study Of Ethical Spirit In Higher Education Of Contemporary China

The development of ethical spirit has always been closely linked with education. The education of ethical spirit is the important foundation of schooling as well as the crucial means of inheriting human and maintaining society to move in a normal way. Along with the transformation of our economic system and society, new change has come to its relevant higher education ethical spirit, higher education ethical spirit both gets liberated and is confronted with new challenges. University students are the main force of the construction of civilization, their ethical spirit is directly related to the face of China in this century and great rejuvenation of Chinese nation. The stage of university which is the critical period of healthy growth of college students is of great importance to college students' formation of world views, philosophies and values. Being higher education workers shoulder not only the mission to impart cultural knowledge to young students, but also cultivate students' ethical spirit to grow and be somebody. And accordingly, enhance the study of higher education ethical spirit and thus spotlight the significant function of educating in higher education, and becomes the motivation that influences the students from generation to generation to make progress constantly, all these things are of great significance.According to the current situation in our country, the frequent occurrence of a variety of ethical and moral issues, serious crises and declining phenomenon affected Chinese traditional ethical spirit education, reconstructing the ethical spirit education and upholding the virtue of education has already become the universal appeal of the public. However, the current study of higher education ethical spirit has a lot of problems both theoretically and practically, based on the currently available data, there are some relevant papers though, a big majority of studies stick to theoretical descriptions while lack of empirical material, especially the studies on moral issues are mostly ivory-towered civilization, they neither pay attention on individuality of moral issues nor on the important sphere of human nature, so to speak, our higher education is the education that seriously violates ethics and moralities. In order to raise higher education workers' concern about the problems of higher education ethical spirit, promote the development of exalted ethical spirit in universities, after defining relevant concepts of higher education ethical spirit, the author elaborates the performance that lacks of higher education ethical spirit from three respects which are the utility tendency of higher education, the fairness problem of higher education restraining the development of ethical spirit and the relatively shortage of ethical diathesis of educators themselves, what's more, the author also analyzes the reasons of lacking of higher education ethical spirit in three aspects, biased goal of higher education; obvious contradiction between education equity; the declining sense of moral responsibility of educators.To solve the problems appeared in current higher education ethical spirit and enable higher education ethical spirit to make some improvements, the author tries to put forward the following countermeasures and thoughts that help improve higher education ethical spirit:1. Persisting in educating people of Marxist Ethics under economic and social conditions; 2. Justice is the basic guarantee of nurturing higher education ethical spirit; 3. Comprehensively improve the cultivation of educators' personal moralities. Provide referential evidence in the hope of improving higher education ethical spirit.
