The Classical Chinese teaching is a vital part of senior middle school's Chinese teaching. With the implementation of New Curriculum Standard, the Classical Chinese teaching of senior middle school is constantly improving. The Classical Chinese is the gem of Chinese traditional culture, it contains culture value, humanistic spirit, aesthetic value and so on. The purpose of learning the Classical Chinese is to make students study the knowledge of the Classical Chinese, inherit the ancients'fine culture traditions, and carry forward th national spirit. However, there are some problems in the present Classical Chinese teaching, such as, students are lack of interest in learning; teaching methods are single; teaching content is oriented by College Entrance Examination; basically ingored the Classical Chinese's humanitic, aesthetic value, and so on. These problems seriously affect teaching result of the Classical Chinese, at the same time, it is difficult for teachers to meet the requirements which New Curriculum Standard put forward for the Classical Chinese teaching. New Curriculum Standard indicates Chinese teaching is the unity of istrumental and humanity, so the Classical Chinese teaching of middle school should also focus on the humanitic part, make the value of the Classical Chinese realized fully.With the precondition of understanding of New Curriculum, how to realize the value of the Classical Chinese teaching, there are many Chinese teachers still exploring this problem. The thesis analyzes the problems which exist in the current Chinese teaching, and find out its reasons; put forward some effective methods. Teacher should make the classical Chinese teaching based on the classical Chinese's intrinsic value, follow the"language form and content unity principle","progressive principle","studying for the purpose of application's principle"and"innovative principle".Teacher should improve their's professional ability,reasonably arrange teaching content, appropriately change teaching methods and adopt effective evaluation methods, in order to alter the present teaching situation, and meet the repuirements of New Curriculum Standard.
