With the development of modern educational technology and new curriculum reform, great changes have taken place not only in teaching means but also in teaching idea and teaching models. The integration of information technology and curriculum became a breakthrough of teaching reform. Resource-based thematic instruction model as an effective way to the integration of information technology and curriculum could train students'innovative spirit and practice ability, it takes impact on traditional teaching idea and curriculum view continuously. Popularity of information technology in current elementary school mathematics teaching provided a good opportunity of development for new curriculum reform. The elementary school mathematics new curriculum standard incarnates catholicity and developmental basis, the mathematical education face all student people learn valuable math, everybody can obtain essential math.This paper chooses the theme of"application of resource-based thematic instruction model in rural elementary school mathematics teaching"as a starting point and chooses rural elementary school as research object, starts from analysis of the status quo of the research on thematic teaching model in and aboard, summarizes the connotation and the foundational theory of resource-based thematic instruction model on the basis of its theory research. Although rural elementary school running conditions are ameliorated greatly, the elementary school mathematics education in response to the era of information education advocaly has made great progress, but in everyday teaching indeed still exist many problems, distance curriculum integration and new course standard requirements so far, so we should change as soon as possible Angle, their attention from hardware facilities gradually transferred to pay attention to strengthening software construction, based on the characteristics of rural primary school up the informatization construction of teaching mode with practice is particularly important.. Then it makes thematic teaching case design about elementary school mathematics centred on four elements including the choice about themes, resource design, activity design and assess design. And it takes organization and implementation on cases and analyzes the problems in the process of implementation, then revises and improves the teaching model, and summarizes effective application strategies that thematic instruction model uesd in rural elementary school. This paper demonstrates several practical examples in order to provide certain references for teachers on thematic teaching orgnization.
