Under the background of educational evaluation reformation, new curriculum rationale has been widely used in frontline teachers'teaching. And new teaching concepts and teaching methods continuously come forth. Among which the Inquiring Teaching, one of most important teaching methods, is advocated by new curriculum rationale as well as is recognized by the majority of teachers. Being injected new curriculum rationale, there are many inquiring subjects in high school Ideological and Political Courses. How to develop high school political education by using inquiring teaching method is an import subject in political education. This article sorts out relevant inquiring teaching documentation at home and abroad and also summaries relevant theoretical knowledge. Base on summarizing and analyzing domestic and overseas experts and scholars'definition in inquiring teaching, this article has discussed the connotation of inquiring teaching. And it also has analyzed the general process, principle and development theoretical foundation based on relevant pedagogy and psychology theory knowledge. This article firstly discusses general theory knowledge of inquiring teaching and then combines the theory knowledge with ideology and politics teaching. From abstract ones to concrete ones, from general at special, this article also discussed the specific process of inquiring teaching in ideology and politics teaching, relevant existing problems, and equipment and facilities, providing valuable experience for inquiring teaching in ideology and politics teaching.
