A qualified socialist citizen is a citizen who should have the awareness of rule of law.Educating students about rule of law at the high school level and enhancing their awareness of rule of law can lay the foundation for cultivating socialist citizens.Under the background of the new curriculum reform,a large number of high school Civics teachers explore the application of inquiry-based teaching in the classroom in a new educational environment,and strive to learn to teach the rule of law part of high school ideology and politics class with inquiry-based teaching,so as to gradually improve their own professionalism and make students receive rule of law knowledge and develop rule of law awareness in a delightful way.A questionnaire survey and interviews with some Civics teachers were conducted on the current use of inquiry-based teaching in high school ideology and politics classes,as well as the cultivation of rule of law awareness among high school students when teaching Politics and Rule of Law.Based on the data obtained,we summarize the results achieved and identify the problems,explore the reasons behind the problems,and compile the corresponding path analysis.The first part,the introduction,mainly describes the background of the selected topic,the significance of the selected topic,the current situation of domestic and international research,the research method and innovation points.The second part mainly introduces the concepts of inquiry-based teaching and rule of law awareness as well as the relevant educational theoretical support;analyzes the significance of using inquiry-based teaching to cultivate rule of law awareness among high school students.The third part introduces the investigation of the use of inquiry-based teaching in senior high school ideology and politics,and the specific investigation of the cultivation of rule of law awareness among senior high school students when teaching Politics and Rule of Law,and the analysis of the reasons.The problems are mainly in the low participation of students in the classroom,the formalization of inquiry teaching,and the lack of interaction of students' interest in learning the law.After analysis,all the above problems can find corresponding solutions and countermeasures,which provides the possibility for the next step of the study.In the fourth part,solutions are proposed according to the problems.Firstly,live the inquiry method and improve the teaching ability.Teachers should establish a sense of innovation and inquiry,use inquiry-based teaching,and realize the rule of law teaching to life;second,pay attention to the creation of the context and improve the design of inquiry-based teaching.There are three main aspects: scientific design of inquiry objectives,elaborate design of inquiry questions,and guiding students' independent internalization;third,change the way of learning and actively participate in inquiry.From the student level,active participation in the rule of law practice,correct learning attitude and motivation in three aspects;fourth,multi-dimensional comprehensive consideration,improve the inquiry-based teaching evaluation system.To reflect the purpose of evaluation nurturing,diversification of evaluation subjects and diversification of evaluation methods.
