After examination and approval by the ministry of education, three sets of new high school chemistry textbook published in September 2004. At the turn of the century, reform of basic education curriculum officially started in our country. The ministry of education has formulated the basic education curriculum reform (try out), and has established the goal of basic education curriculum reform, and developed the curriculum standard of each course in basic education stage. We start a new round of curriculum reform to improve science literacy.This paper established the basic framework on the basis of sorting the science inquiry and textbooks written theory. And as a basis of three sets of textbooks in the content of scientific inquiryquantitative statistical analysis to quantitative analysis to qualitative analysis as a reference, resulting in the conclusion of this study. And gives recommendations related to the use of textbooks.This study focuses on the current three sets of materials required modules.It focused on analysing the static text.And then made a comparative study. This paper mainly divided into the following parts:The first part, which is the part of introduction, Introduction.This part outlined the background, meaning, purpose, content, and major research methods used in this study, the theoretical basis and the overall research design.In the second part, Literature review and concept definition. Literature review was written mainly from science inquiry part of the book definition connotation and the analysis of science inquiry. Learned the situation about the domestic and foreign materials research at present,and then defined the core concepts "scientific inquiry" and "chemistry teaching material".In the third part, Statistical process.In this study, the research method is content analysis. According to the steps of the content analysis,I mainly introduced the analysis comparison dimension and the text of the dimensions of index system in this section.And analysised the categories list of reliability and validity.In the fourth part, statistical structure and analysis.Useing the quantitative and qualitative analysis method, and content requirements of the relevant curriculum standards, existed and evaluated three compulsory modules chemistry textbook.In the fifth part, comparison among three versions of textbooks.Compared and analyzed the books, from six aspects of textbooks the scientific inquiryjust as the inquiry activity of quantity, the inquiry activity set, the representation of the content and probe activities selection, the inquiry activity type, explore the type tasks and the inquiry activity of level of opening-up,useing the major results have been obtained.The last part, epilogue. This part mainly summarizes the conclusion of this research, in the view of the conclusion to the writers,teachers and students to put forward three topics relevant suggestions and reflects on the limitations of the study and the follow-up complement research direction.
