The comparative study of teaching materials has always been an important subject in the field of educational research.In recent years,our country has been promoting the curriculum reform and published the standard of physics curriculum for Senior High School(2017 edition)in 2017(hereinafter referred to as the new curriculum standard).Based on the requirements of the new curriculum standard,each version of the high school physics textbooks began to re-compile,by the end of2022,there are 6 new editions of senior high school physics textbooks in the National Curriculum Teaching Catalogue of General Senior High School issued by the Ministry of Education.Since the new versions of teaching materials have been put into use in a large area,studying the differences between different versions of physics teaching materials can help to enhance the efficiency of teachers in using teaching materials and play the educational function of teaching materials,we will ensure and improve the quality of education and teaching.The new curriculum standard points out that the physics teaching material of senior high school should be guided by the basic task of setting up morality and cultivating people,and the core accomplishment of students in physics should be promoted,with the aim of developing students’ core competence in physics,this paper studies three editions of teaching materials,namely,the People’s education edition,Lu Science and Technology edition and Shanghai Science and Technology edition,the level of the four elements of scientific inquiry in the 8required experimental texts.This research mainly includes five parts.The first part is the introduction,which explains in detail the research background,the research present situation,the research goal and the significance,the research content and the method,the second part is the concept definition and the theory foundation,the third part is the analysis and comparison of the elements of scientific inquiry in three versions of high school physics textbooks and eight compulsory experimental texts of inquiry,according to the classification table of scientific inquiry ability in the new curriculum standard,the level of the four elements of scientific inquiry in the required experimental texts of eight inquiry categories in each edition of the physics textbook is evaluated,by drawing the statistical chart and comparing the level difference of the four factors of scientific inquiry in the experimental texts of the three editions,the author puts forward the teaching optimization strategies according to the above contents,further analysis of the content of the study to draw conclusions,pointing out the problems in the process of research,and find the direction of improvement.The results of this study are as follows:(1)there are significant differences in the content of question and communication text,and the content of evidence and explanation text among the three versions.Different versions of teaching materials,different experimental contents,different question elements and different communication elements have different text contents,and most of the experimental texts have very high similarity in the content of evidence elements,the text content of the explanatory elements is slightly different.(2)there are different levels of each element in the experimental texts of the three editions.Most of the experimental question elements in the People’s education edition can only reach the first-level,while most of the experimental question elements in the Lu Science and Technology edition fluctuate between the first-level and the second-level,most of the experimental problems in the textbook of Shanghai Science and Education edition reach the level of three levels.Most of the experimental evidence elements in the 3versions can reach the level of grade 2 or 3.Most of the experimental explanatory elements in the textbook can reach level 2,while the Lu Science and Technology edition and the Shanghai Science and Education edition fluctuate between Level 2 and level 3.Lu Science and Technology edition and Shanghai Science and Education edition of teaching materials experiment exchange elements to achieve the highest level of the same,most of the People’s education edition of teaching materials do not exchange elements text.Finally,according to the above research,four suggestions are put forward:(1)strengthen the scene teaching.(2)design a variety of experimental programs.(3)strengthen the teaching of data processing.(4)to guide the writing of experimental reports.
