Research On Political Ideology Education Methodology For Navigation Major Students In China

With the rapid development of social economy and modern science and technology, the modern seamanship gradually tends to be specialized, large-scale and automatic. This trend brings both opportunities and challenges to the work of the ideological and political education in the maritime institutions. As the cradle for training marine personnel, maritime institutions must improve the ideological and political education for college students and consider the ideological and political education as a part of the basic content of the maritime education. In the new era, the important issue for the ideological and political education confronted by the maritime institutions is to adapt to the influence from international and national environment to maritime institutions and students in marine major, and to strengthen and improve working methods of the ideological and political education in maritime institutions.This thesis contains four parts, including the introduction. The introduction briefly illustrates the contents and significance of the research. The first section of the thesis proposes the problem in the education method of the ideological and political education in the maritime institutions and analyzes the opportunities and challenges brought by the international and domestic environment to maritime institutions The second section focused on the meaning and content of the ideological and political education and discussed the theoretical foundation of the thesis, including the Marxist philosophy as the ideological and political education approach, the people-oriented ideological and political education theory, the theory of ethics, and main theory on the contemporary methods of ideological and political education abroad. In the third section, through the research on the problems in the ideological and political education, the problem of the ideological and political education in the maritime institutes is analyzed. In the last section, according to the analysis of the characteristic of Chinese maritime institutions, students in marine major, education environment for them, and the principle of ideological and political education, method of the ideological and political education in Chinese maritime institutions is put forward. Firstly, it points out that the educational method should change in five aspects, from being impressive to effective, from negative to positive, from distributed to multiple, from static to dynamic and from traditional to modern. Secondly, suggestions are provided, which improve the application of the method of ideological and political education and the structure of the method. Through the above study on the ideological and political education in Chinese maritime institutions, it is proposed that during the implementation of the ideological and political education, the assessment of ideological and political education of Chinese maritime institutes should also be strengthened for better performance in work.
