In the whole rowing training process, youth training is the base initial stage, whether it is properly carried out has a significant impact on the upcoming development. Rowing is a potential vantage sport of the Chinese Team, for a better development of Chinese rowing, it is imperative to focus on youth training.From 1984 to 2008, the Italian rowing team achieved 14 medals, among which 5 golds,4 silvers and 5 bronzes, in 7 Olympic Games. The highly sustainable and stable success illustrates that the Italian Rowing team has a strong and solid reserve. In this thesis, we analyze the Italian youth rowers'annual training and try to sort out the features of their training load distribution. We also have a field trip research in Zhaoqing youth rowers training center. Through the comparison to Italian youth rowers'training, we can do a self-questioning in our Chinese youth rowers'training. The main results are summarized as follows:1. The idea of Italian youth rowers'annual training is based on the periodicity training theory, the annual training load turns out to have a periodical'block'. Recovery is considered as a very important part of the whole training process, the ratio between normal training and recovery is approximately 3:1. This is a typical feature of Italian rowing training, it reflects the development and the event specific characteristic of the applications in classical periodicity training theory, therefore merits a deep research.2. On average, Italian youth rowers'annual training time is 828 hours, water training volume 6328km, with weekly rowing volume ranges from 84km to 169km. Italian youth rowers'training is mainly based on aerobic training, counting 84.6% of the annual training; while at the same time, they also pay attention to the technical training, emphasizing the training model building, focusing on the details and the training quality control. 3. In the macrocycle of Italian youth rowers'annual training, we can see the training load plan has an obvious rhythm, while according to different purposes, microcycle has different structure of the training load and training rhythm too.4. At Zhaoqing training center, rowers'training is carried mainly in the form of aerobic training, in contrast with Italian team, Zhaoqing rowers got heavier training volume, but lighter intensity; Zhaoqing rowers have longer weekly training time, higher water training volume, but less stretching (positive recovery). Both teams have 1-3 times of strength training every week, Zhaoqing rowers do endurance strength training only, while Italian rowers sometimes will do a maximum strength training.5. Comparing the syllabus of Italian and Chinese youth rowers' training, we can see that the Italian training syllabus leads to a more obvious navigating effect, thus closer combination of theory and applications; In this thesis, problems such as systematicness of training plan making, the control of training load, the orientation of training class, the enthusiasm of coaches and rowers, are also analyzed, suggestions are provided, expecting to give relevant references for Chinese youth rowers'training.
