As the new curriculum reform boosts steadily, especially with the implement of the criterion to the new curriculum, the reform of school Physical Education is being carried on vigorously, which has been attached great importance to both in theory and practice. Such changes are also taken place in the countryside junior middle school in Wuxi city, the current situation of which should as well be paid attention to since the reform.This essay has adopted literature material method, questionnaire method, the method of documentary as well as interviewing experts and so on, including investigations to altogether 480 students and 50 physical education teachers from an random selection of eight countryside junior middle school in Wuxi city. In addition, I have also conducted interviews and communication with 10 sports exports and backbone teachers, whose content refers to the actuality of the sports courses, attitudes of the school leaders, qualification of PE teachers, teaching goals, teaching contents, teaching evaluation, sports facilities and venues, the amount of PE classes, as well as the present study situation in PE classes. The results of the research are as follows:1. The PE teachers in countryside junior middle schools in Wuxi city are mainly young or mid-aged with high degree levels. But those who hold the intermediate and senior professional titles are relatively few; also the teaching quantity is not enough. Thus most of the school may not have enough PE classes.2. The PE teachers in countryside junior middle school in Wuxi city have still been in groping stages as how to implement the operation of the new curriculum reform. Though most of them have a good understanding of it, there still exist some problems and challenges in the practice of the new curriculum reform3. Part of the leaders and parents in countryside junior middle schools in Wuxi city lack enough attention to PE classes. As a result, the PE teachers may also have Job Burnout as they might lack enthusiasm.4. Though teaching goals can be achieved well, many students still lack the interest and don't like PE classes due to monotonous teaching contents, dumb teaching methods as well as dull classroom atmosphere.5. Polybasic evaluations of sports learning have already been applied and attempted, which correspond to the idea of the new curriculum.6. Many students are lacking in the habit and interest of taking part in sports as they usually have heavy school work. Furthermore, their motivation in attending sports is not so proper, which needs to be guided.
