Chinese New Mathematical Curriculum Reform has put forward that cooperation and communication is another vital study method for school students. The goal of communication is to enhance and correct student's mathematical understandings through discussing and negotiation different opinions by students themselves. After experiencing this procedural, educators believe that the mathematical knowledge and skills will mean more to individual students rather than something being told. This paper, on the foundation of summering and studying on the math communication, especially on the evaluation of math communication capability of domestic and foreign essays, has done the following work.First of all, the paper has sorted out the definition of'Mathematical Communication'.Second, it has found out the level of Chinese primary school students' mathematic communication levels. By translating and modifying Professor Cai Jinfa's assessment problems, the paper find out that the level of the fifth graders are a little bit more than the level three, that is:"students'explanations provide a fairly complete response with reasonably clear explanations or descriptions; may include a nearly complete, appropriate diagram; generally communicates effectively to the identified audience; presents supporting arguments which are logically sound but may contain some minor gaps.Through the video analyzing of students intrapersonal communication, the paper confirms and notes some phenomenon and characteristics of present students' mathematical communication. These includes:1) lacking of communication conscious; 2) Students are in need of relevant communication techniques help. When objecting or doubting their partner's explanation or suggestions, they incline not to give out specific opinions on disagreement. The video analyzing also uncover that the middle achieving students tend to communicate more effectively than high achieving students. And on the relationships between individual communication competence and group communication competence, boys and girls showed different features. In the end, the paper also discussed underlying reasons of the problems showed up in the video and of students' interpersonal communication and their intrapersonal communication. The limitations of the paper may attribute to the limited amount of samples involved and shallow analysis of students interpersonal performance. Meanwhile, the communication is a sophisticated process involving two participants'psychological, sociological and anthropologic etc. factors, for example, different communication partner may elicit one student's different communication skills.
