Implementation And Suggestions Of Mechanism Of Credit System Of Shanghai Secondary Vocational School

Life-long education has inevitably been a main stream. People find it is not enough to learn professional knowledge. So students should learn how to study by themselves in schools, which is helpful to his life-long education and future self-development. Meanwhile, students of the generation after 1990s have vivid characters and strong consciousness of self-decision. Therefore, it is easy for uniform learning ways and same courses to efface their strong suits and interests. I think today's teaching system can't satisfy life-long education and personal learning demands. It needs reform. Then how can we reform secondary vocational education? International experience shows that it is a must that secondary vocational education is sure to be diversified and personal. And credit system provides a new thinking for teaching management system of diversified and personal secondary vocational education.In 2004, after Ministry of Education issues a document Suggestions about the Implementation of Credit System in Secondary Vocational School, many secondary vocational schools began carrying out credit system. And Shanghai introduces a document Suggestions about Carrying out Credit System in Vocational Schools. Then Shanghai secondary vocational schools began implementing credit system. Until now, Shanghai secondary vocational schools have carried out credit system for 10 years. What is the situation about it now?This paper will focus on the research of the practice of carrying credit system of Shanghai's secondary vocational schools on the basis of the analysis of necessity and feasibility. Meanwhile, this paper will study five schools and analyze results and problems of carrying out credit system in these schools. I will summarize common successful experience among them. And I will analyze common problems which appeared in the process of carrying out credit system. I will also provide my suggestions and measures for these problems.This paper will study these parts, as follows,Firstly, I will review basic theories of credit system. And I will study intension, extension and essence of credit system again, which can be the basis for the whole paper. Secondly, I will review some policies of credit system, which is used to reflect absence of clauses of policies. Thirdly, after clearing up the articles of my investigations about credit system, I will introduce these schools'characteristics when carrying out credit system. Meanwhile. I will conclude their fruits and problems. At last, I will bring forward my suggestions after analyzing common problems which appeared in the process of carrying out credit system.
