| History teaching for high school has seen enormous changes lasting over one hundred years. At different times, people tend to make a different interpretation of functions towards history teaching. It is the continuous changing of concepts that contributes to obvious differences in selecting contents and methods of teaching. The part of Asian, African and Latin American History should be one of the focal points in the whole teaching process for high school history as well as a topic worthy of following closely in the new age of teaching.This paper reviews different descriptions on Asian, African and Latin American History for high school history teaching over the past century, interprets its version in Curriculum Standards for High school history, and analyses its current status in the phase of high school history teaching. With the purpose of promoting the in-depth curriculum reform of history teaching and improving the level of history education for high school, we are intended to make the research by analyzing, summarizing, reflecting and making further exploration. |
