It have been criticized for many years that the Act Verbs is the key factor of the curriculum standard.Based on the research of the academic circles on the act verbs is insufficient,the paper takes The National Standards for History and History-Social Science Content Standards for California Public Schools as an example,research the standard of the history thinking and the act verbs in the curriculum standard.Based on the quantitative analysis of the act verbs in these curriculum standards,the paper tries to summarize the requirements of the norms.The author hopes to promote the scientific use of act verbs in history curriculum standards,and further promote the guiding function of the history curriculum standards in educational practices and in scientific research.Specifically,the paper is divided into the following four parts:The first part is the introduction.This part mainly introduces the background and significance of this research from two aspects: the new round of course reforming which is guided by the core quality of the subject and the reference experience of American history curriculum standards.And expound the present situation from researching American history curriculum standards and the act verbs.In addition,the research methods of this paper are briefly introduced.Finally it defines the concept of act verbs in history curriculum standards.The second part is an overview of American curriculum standards.For one thing it expounds the background of American history curriculum standards,for another it gives a brief introduction to the two main examples of the paper,The National Standards for History and History-Social Science Content Standards for California Public Schools.The third part makes a quantitative analysis and comparison of using act verbs in the content of The National Standards for History and History-Social Science Content Standards for California Public Schools,and summarizes the role of the act verbs in the history curriculum standard with related theories.The fourth part based on the above,gives some suggestions on the concrete application of act verbs in the history curriculum standard,and the purpose is to enhance the scientific and normative using act verbs.
