In 2006, Ministries of Education and Finance issued a document to speed up the national construction, reform and development of leading colleges and vocational schools, which pointed out that the State Council urged to vigorously develop the vocational education in China, hence the implementation of the plan to develop some leading colleges and vocational schools during the 11th 5-year stage, namely the"211"project among the national colleges and vocational schools. Four years of centralized input and construction later, the specialty construction in a number of higher vocational colleges has been quite distinctive, being the model of development, management, and reform. Being part of this plan, PE teaching achieved considerable development, too, but relatively slow, not equivalent to the according specialty construction. Due to a late start, so far the reform of the PE teaching in the whole plan is still nearly nothing. Therefore, this research on the PE teaching reform has a strong theoretical and practical significance.This project takes the PE teaching reform of beijing-tianjin-hebei 12 demonstration vocational colleges as research participants, and mainly used the literature material method, expert interview, questionnaire and statistics method to survey and analyze the main problems of sports facilities, teachers, teaching concept, teaching mode, teaching method, campus sports culture construction and CBE usage in demonstration of higher vocational colleges. According to the status of these demonstration vocational colleges and reform ideas of their demonstration majors, sports teaching development strategy in beijing-tianjin-hebei area demonstration vocational colleges can be analyzed as follows: updating teaching concept; reforming teaching content, exploring the new teaching mode on "sports teaching reform project drive", "CDIO" etc; strengthening campus sports culture construction; combining colleges with enterprises and offering the students opportunities working while studying on the openness construction of PE teaching; network classroom, sports information exchange platform etc. Through the investigation and analysis, the following conclusions can be put forward: owing to the particularity of higher vocational education in the higher education, traditional college programmatic document can not fully adapt the PE reform in these demonstration vocational colleges; thus, teaching concept must be renewed; sports curriculum settings and curriculum development must take ability training as the main line, and fully attached professional construction; put more focus on campus sports culture construction; PE teaching reform must also insist on professional construction of combining colleges with enterprises and offering the students opportunities working while studying; must use modern teaching methods and sports network information exchange platform to establish good communication and information collection channels.
