Study On The Current Situation Of The Course Of Traditional Wu Shu In Fujian College And University

Many research approaches are applied in this paper, including literature review, expert interviews, field study, questionnaire study, mathematical survey and logical reasoning, etc. The study objects are the 20 universities and colleges in Fujian Province. This paper analyzes the course of traditional wushu's current situation and problems through the research. The result indicates: First, the popularity of the course of traditional wushu is low in Fujian province. Second, a sharp contradiction exists among the leaders. Third, the professional teachers of the course of traditional wushu teachers in-service possess only a small portion; their professional knowledge and skill levels are various; the scientific researchers are also weak. Fourth, students'awareness of the course of traditional wushu is far too be desired; their study motivation is not clear and they show some dissatisfaction with the study contents, teachers'gender, skills and attitudes. Fifth, the teaching methods and models are single; the utilization of new method and the combination of old and new teaching method have not done well and modern science and technology has not been applied to the course of traditional wushu teaching. Sixth, the course of traditional wushu teaching venues are too few to meet the demands of the course of traditional wushu teaching and the extracurricular exercises. Seventh, the course content simplifies; the teaching classes are few and the class arrangements and the inspection ways are unreasonable. Through the investigation and analysis of the current situation of research, aiming at the shortcomings above, perceiving the root cause of the problems, this paper puts forward the measures. First, the government should intensify their focus and formulate the course of traditional wushu. Second, we should also strengthen the propaganda, launch the competition and enhance the popularity. Third, we should optimize the construction of traditional wushu teachers' team and widely absorb the talents. Fourth, the students'traditional wushu awareness should be improved and their lifelong sports consciousness should be cultivated. Fifth, we should increase the investment of traditional wushu facilities, combined with society. Sixth, suited teaching methods and teaching mode should be formulated according to different surroundings. Seventh, traditional wushu courses in university in Fujian province should be perfected and scientific and reasonable evaluation standard should be formulated. This paper aims at providing some valuable reference in developing university traditional wushu classes.
