Design And Application Research Of Freshman Support System

With the popularization of higher education, more and more students are admitted by collegesand universities, the adaptability of freshmen have been put on the agenda.Inthe currently teaching at the university, school absence, rehabilitation, cannot graduate, increasingly obsessed with the network and so on caused theconcern of educators, and also the important issues of the quality of the universityteaching.One of the important reasons causing the problem is the difference of the adaptationin the stage of freshmen. From high school to university, students need to facethe role change, experiences the environment, learning and values, ideals andbeliefs and some other fundamental changes. This conversion will bring pressureon students, cause learning difficulties, mental disorders and other issues.Today with the development of the technology, to set up an adaptable platform to helpfreshmen to adapt to college life become a trend. How to build this platform andgrow together with the college students and to be their mentor in the growth offreshmen are the main aspects of this study.Firstly,the literature reviews of the domestic and international adaptability status, allthe problems and psychological obstacles freshmen encountered after enteringthe university and college. Then, the literature reviews of the various studentsupport system, and compare several online platforms used at present and selectthe most suitable platform to build the system.Secondly,introduce the design and development of the freshman adaptive system, includingrequirement analysis, system modeling, and system architecture design. Thirdly,introduce how this adaptive systems works and applications including systemoperating environment, system application and analysis.Finally,summarizes the results of research and contribution of the study and point outthe problems and future research directions, and some suggestions to furtherimprove the system.
