As the fundamental educational reformation deepening in China, the mathematical teaching knowledge and system regulating are in change. One of the main missions of teaching staffs is to search new teaching methods. The most effective teaching mode recognized by world mathematics educator is using'problem'. And the essence of Chinese traditional education is heuristic education. This paper focus on the 'problem-guiding' teaching manner, which is based on combine of the two mentioned up, and is to be used in the middle school mathematical teaching. Therefor, these aspects are studied here:1. The middle school mathematical teaching status is investigated via literatures and classrooms, which indicate that the exercisable teaching manner is actually in short, while not the theoretic guidelines.2. Theory foundation of the'problem-guiding' teaching manner is discussed by methodology, including aspects of psychology and pedagogy.3. The basic teaching pattern for the'problem-guiding' is designed. The outline includes the major element'problem', the question method and the basic teaching flow.4. The'problem-guiding' teaching manner is applied in the middle school mathematical teaching. The particular operable flow is described. At last, the teaching experimentation is carried out to validate this method.The results indicate that, the'problem-guiding' teaching manner can realize the students'main body status in class. Furthermore, it can enhance their self-study, self-inquiry, and problem-solve ability, which is to the advantage of students'all-around development. The'problem-guiding' teaching manner sets up a loose and interactional classroom atmosphere, then the communications between teacher and students are intensified, finally result in the improvement of teaching quality.
