The Construction On Student Cadre Contingent In Universities Since The Reform And Opening-up

In colleges and universities, student cadre contingent are an important component of student work team, a significant force to deepen reform, promote development and maintain stability of colleges and universities, and also play a key role in college students ideological and political education. College students are precious human resources of our nation, as well as the hope of our people, the future of our country. The student cadre serve as the student organizers, coordinators and executors of the education, management, service and other aspects of our work in higher education organizations. They are the backbone of colleges students. On the research of the construction processes of student cadre contingent in colleges and universities during the new age, this paper summarizes its achievements and drawbacks, practically and theoretically improving the growth of student cadre contingent in colleges and universities, so as to further enhance the construction of ideology and political education for college students.Under the guidance of the Marxist theory and on the survey basis, this paper illustrates the development processes and the achievements of the construction on student cadre contingent in colleges and universities during the new age, analyses some serious problems with their major related causes, as well as introduces the realistic enlightenment and the future development trends. This paper is organized as follows:Section 1 presents the connotation and the significance of the studies in the construction on student cadre contingent in colleges and universities during the new age. The main part of this section illustrates the meaning and importance of such construction.Section 2 discusses the development processes and the major achievements of the construction on student cadre contingent in colleges and universities during the new age. This section combs out the construction into three stages, namely the restoration and rectification, enhancement and the further reform, and the all-round development, then based on the analysis above inquiries into the summary of the major achievements of such construction. Section 3 analyses some serious problems, with their major causes, in the construction on student cadre contingent in colleges and universities during the new age. The main part of this section shows that after more than 30 years of Reform and Opening-up a lot of problems still exist in the construction, including ineffective planning, lack of adequate guidance, insufficient updating of measures, and various levels of the quality of student cadre, while the rest of this section analyses the major related reasons for those problems.Section 4 introduces the realistic enlightenment and the future development trends of the construction on student cadre contingent in colleges and universities during the new age. The enlightenment include establish and improve a long-term effective mechanism in the construction, strengthen a system to select and train student cadre, and form a pattern in managing student cadre well. The development trends appear in the standardization for selection, the systematization of training, and the scientific course of management.
