The safety is the most important consideration in whole society. The safety of the middle and primary school students related to the students'lives, the happiness of their families, the development of schools and the harmony of the society. Due to poor conditions of running schools in rural areas, there is still a big gap between schools in urban and rural areas, comparing both basic facilities and teaching sources. Especially, in the course of safety education, the situation is not optmistic, and lack for the fundamental condition that effectively ensure the safety of school children. During recent years, with the frequant occurrence of safety incidents and people appealing to show concerns to the safety education in rural primary and secondary schools, the research on safety education of middle and primary schools in rural areas comes into sight and arouse enough attention.However, by collecting the existing research, the auther found that the study on the safety education of middle and primary schools is scattered and lack for empirical research. According to the research on current situation of the safety education in rural areas of Inner Mongolia and the problem exists in the safety education, this paper would give a analysis to the cause of the problems and attempt to propose specific measures and suggestions for the improvement. The paper is presented as five parts.Part One:IntroductionThis part mainly focuses on the origin of this research and its meaning, and analyzing the current researches on the safety education of middle and primary shcools; and then briefly introduced its research ideas, the key points, difficulties as well as its methods.Part Two:Investigation of the Status of Safety Education in Rural Areas of Inner MongoliaThis part first briefly introduces the basic investigation; and then analyzes the results of questionnaire, including the kinds of curriculum, the quality of teachers, the implementation of safety education, teaching materials, the situation and the way of gaining the knowledge of safety education, students'understanding of the Safety Day, the attitudes and evaluation to the safety education, the difficulty facing teachers in the course of safety education and students'expects on the improvement of safety education.PartThree:ProblemsBased on the investigation, there exist some problems, for example, with the aim of promoting the enter school proprotion, school safety education is not pragmatic enough; the teaching contents and methods of safety education are outmoded; laid more stress on the form with no clear objective; lack of educational resources and sense of self protection; the effect of safety education is not optimistic.Part Four:ReasonsMaor reasons, including the inadequency of awareness, lack of fund, incomplete safety system, lack of safety management, poor qualities of teachers, problems existed in students, lack support in safety education from parents.Part Five:StrategiesFirst, we should develop correct attitudes towards safety education; second, we should expand money input, improve the infrastructure of schools and enrich the teaching sourses; third, we should routinize the safety education,and should diversify and systemize its forms; fourth, we should reinforce the professinal training among teachers; fifth, we should ensure a better management to improve the safety education; sixth, we should reinforce students'mentality health education and law-abiding education; at last, the school, the family and the community must work together to improve the safety education in schools.
