In recent years,campus security accidents have occurred frequently and shown new features.It becomes a public concern and gets the government's great attention.Safety education has become a consensus of the society and has gradually become a hot issue in the education field.Although,safety education is an important part of school education at present,and relevant supporting policies have been promulgated and continuously improved,a series of problems still exist,such as the shortage of teachers for safety education,the lack of innovation in educational forms and practice training,difficulty in implementing safety education.Inadequate educational management,problems of evaluation systems,and lack of safety education for parents have limited the effectiveness of school safety education.Therefore,it is critical to strengthen the research on this issue.This work is based on Maslow's hierarchy of needs and life education concepts.It focuses on the urban areas of Yueyang and some of the primary and secondary schools under in Linxiang.It focuses on the core theme of safety education in primary and secondary schools.Literature review in combination with surveys and interviews,a comprehensive and systematic analysis of the current problems in the safety education in primary and secondary schools has been presented.Moreover,corresponding countermeasures and suggestions have been proposed.Through investigation and interviews,we found the safety education has not been implemented well due to the pressure of academic achievement for schools.The safety education management has not been treated seriously.Weak security awareness leads to a sick cooperation with school,and insufficient funding makes the safety facilities difficult to be guaranteed.These problems are caused by a series of profound and complicated factors,which seriously affect the long-term safety education in primary and secondary schools and restrict the effectiveness of safety education.Based on the research,this thesis proposes: First,we should change our thinking and pay great attention on safety education.We should set up a system for the safety education in order to implement the campus safety management effectively.Second,we should strengthen the training of teachers.The third is to expand the form of safety education according to the individual differences of students,and to improve the safety awareness and risk prevention ability of students.Fourth is to encourage the development of school-based safety education course,innovate teaching methods,and to establish safety education base.The fifth is to make full use of the information stage(i.e.Internet + platform)to enrich course resources,and to improve the safety education system and promote campus safety legislation.The sixth is to implement safety education responsibility system and form a truly long-term working mechanism.In addition,we must also strengthen supervision to ensure that safety education policies are put into place,and through the establishment of social,family,and school tripartite grid forces,we can improve the effectiveness of safety education in all directions for the safety of primary and middle school students.
