Microteaching is the method of training normal students and in-service teachers to master the teaching skill, with the application of modern audio-visual technology and equipment. Microteaching makes scientific classification of complex teaching skills in the teaching process, and conducts targeted training to ultimately improve the trainees'teaching skills. Teaching skills are the basic quality physical education teacher should master, are the effective guarantee for PE teacher to complete the teaching objectives successfully. The application of Microteaching for specially selected table tennis students to develop the basic teaching skills is one of the most scientific, effective methods.This paper uses literature and materials, questionnaires, expert interviews, controlled experiment and mathematical statistics and other methods, makes in-depth study on the Microteaching effect of developing basic teaching skills for the specially selected table tennis students, This paper makes experimental, comparative study, taking the specially selected table tennis students of the 2009 sports department of Physical Education School of Zhengzhou University as study objects, establish five basic skill students should master:explanation, demonstration, teaching organization, compilation and design of lesson plan, diagnose and correction of mistakes through collecting and consulting domestic and foreign related literature and materials, visiting experts, providing questionnaires and mathematical statistics. It is the teaching skill training mode to record the training of each skill using modern audio-visual technology, provide students the slow playback and freeze frame of the recorded teaching behaviors for discussion, analysis and summarization in the class, while realize real-time interaction with students with the use of modern network technology, fully use the network platform to upload video, submit assignments, feedback evaluation, make the acquisition of teaching skills for students spirally loop.After a semester of 16 weeks of teaching experiments, the detailed experimental data obtain through final test are mathematically analyzed by software SPSS12.0 to produce results, which shows that Microteaching overmatches the traditional teaching methods on training specially selected table tennis students of Institute of Physical Education, The study also shows that Microteaching, as training method of improving the specially selected students'teaching skills, is targeted, focused, effective and easy to use, creates harmonious classroom atmosphere and relationship between teachers and students, and effectively shortens the role conversion time from students to teachers, offers high reference value for the internship and employment of college graduates, and provides theoretical basis for the teaching of other physical subjects and training of physical teachers.
