English writing is one of important parts of English writing. According to the given topic or material, English writing requires students to use English to clearly present their views and ideas on the paper, aiming in requesting students to use English to analyze and solve problems and to learn to think in English. So English writing is the creation process based on students absorbing language knowledge, and is the embodiment of the integrated language skills. An article has beautiful words,fluent language,accurate expression,standardized structure, not only reflects the good language level, and embodies its good language training, so improving the students' writing ability by all manner of means, is the important content of English teaching. English writing in English learning plays an important role, also more and more attract teachers' attention. And correcting the students' composition, improving the students' writing ability is also one of the important parts, however, in the actual teaching more teachers focus on writing training, and ignore the composition correct. In fact, effective correct is the external cause to promote students to pleasantly write and write well, which plays a direct guide role for the student. So, how to carry out effective composition correct is a worth research project.This article aims to explore the effective English composition correct mode, let teachers and students be aware of the importance of composition correct, teachers can effectively choose correcting mode and reasonably correct the content of the composition, finally can promote students' writing level to improve. This article analyzes the junior middle school English composition present situation through the questionnaire survey in a middle school in Shanghai. The questionnaire involving the following three main aspects:correcting manner and correcting contents and effect. Meanwhile, full the results of the survey through the interview. Finally, according to actual situation propose suggestions:(1) A variety of ways combine the model:the classmate mutual correcting, self correcting, group correcting, teacher corrects. (2) The content should care for comprehensively. (3) Evaluation should be diversified and different.
