Composition is the means to express people’s ideas and writing skill is one of the most important and a basic part to reflect one’s Chinese quality. For most students in common senior high school, they do not have capability to improve their writing ability because of the lack of practice and accumulation during nine year compulsory education. According to investigate students’writing in a common senior high school under the guidance of pedagogy, education psychology, and the methods of composition teaching, the author believes the reason why students’cannot write a good composition is that they do not have a good impression on composition. They also separate writing from real life, and do not have complete idea, so they cannot connect writing with life. Therefore, the author proposes teacher should eliminate students’psychological barriers first. As teachers, they also should take an active part in students’activities and urge them to form a good habit in Chinese study.
