A Research On The Subject Leadership Of The Head Of Teaching Research Group

Teaching research group plays an important role in the professional development of teacher in China. Head of teaching research group, as leader,organizer,governor of teaching research group, head of teacher professional development and indemnitor of teaching quality, whose ability has effect on teaching research group construction directly and healthy positive development of teachers in teaching research group.This study, through theoretical and practical research, aims to break up the main elements of subject leadership of teaching research group head and know about the current situation and cause of subject leadership of teaching research group head. In the study, questionnaires and interviews are distributed to managers,teaching research group heads and teachers of three schools using literature methodology and investigation methodology.First of all, cause of the topic selection, research significance and status are discussed, the existing related literature data is summarized and collated, and the main concepts of the whole article are defined. Then meaning of the subject leadership of teaching research group head, the relationship between various elements and meanings of various elements are described. And next, through analyzing and summarizing the investigation results of three schools in a district, problems of subject leaders and relevant reasons are explored. The results show that:in practical teaching and management, teaching ability, communication skills as well as self-management ability of the head of teaching research group are rather good, while subjects planning capacity, research capacity and organization skills should be improved. Reasons are as follows:garbled role cognition, deficient training, scarce self-ability and loss of rights. Finally, in order to improve the subject leadership of teaching research group head, some advices and strategies from the perspective of school administrators are promoted, such as examining the status of teaching research group head correctly, establishing standard training institutions for teaching research group head, enhancing organization and management ability of teaching research group head etc.
