In the modern society, historical textbooks mould people's awareness of history to a large extent. However, the dullness and worthless greatly reduce the importance of current historical textbooks through the generative process of historical awareness of secondary school students, which lead themselves to a crises as well. This article considers that the language expression of historical textbooks plays a key role in getting welcomed by teachers and students, developing its education function and carrying out the goal of educating. Meanwhile, it is the outlet for getting rid of the dullness and worthless of historical textbooks.The language expression of historical textbooks refers to the well-designed character expression for human historical knowledge with polish based on the language transition trend of historical materials in the field of education and teaching, which is kept an eye on the ordinary language, the scientific language and the artistic language. There are two close issues to the language expression of historical textbooks: the principles and manners of language expressed by historical textbooks. The principles of language expression of historical textbooks includes the unification of simplicity and integrity, the unification of accuracy and vitality, and the unification of ideological context and playfulness.There are four manners of language expression of historical textbooks, which contains the styles of statement, enlightenment, integration and exploration. Furthermore, each manner includes a number of kinds. As for the statement, explaining the profound in simple terms, paying attention to details, finely written context, reasonable imagination and use of modern ordinary vocabularies are included. As for the enlightenment, the opening of space or time, creating attractive problem situations, well-designed solutions, the end with endless thinking are included. As for the integration, graphic mutual releases are included. As for the exploration, the historical comparison and explanation, the introduction to process of discovering the historical truth and the ways of determining historical fact are included.In addition, we attempt to propose and preliminary discuss the issue of the styles of language expressed by historical textbooks. It is considered that the language of historical textbooks should be expressed with some reasonable manners along with optimizing designs, which forms the unique language style of such textbooks. The language expression style of historical textbooks should be based upon and match the learning style of students. Only in this way can benefits be taken to the learning of students and the improvements be taken to historical textbooks to the largest extent.
