Gymnastics is an important part of the school sports content. For a long time, the content of Gymnastics teaching is attached great importance by school sports in my country. Promulgated in 2001, "Physical Education and Health Curriculum Standards" (hereinafter referred to as the "standard"), once was taken gymnastics as an important teaching content. Therefore, standard also put forward specific requirements in Gymnastics content set and teaching effectiveness. "Standard" implementation provides greater autonomy for Junior middle school physical education content set and teaching requirements. In the process of standard implemented,some junior school did not follow the "standard" requirements in Gymnastics teaching content set due to a variety of factors. So,Gymnastics content has been severely compressed, and some schools even deleted the contents of gymnastics teaching. This situation runs counter to the requirements on one hand and it also seriously affected the Gymnastics movement carried out on the other hand. This article investigates the condition about the implementation of contents of physical education gymnastics in"Physical Education and Health Curriculum Standards" for the Junior middle school of DanDong in order to discover and solve problem, make contribution to local economic and social development. Hope to be able to provide a useful reference. By using the method of documentary, the method of field observation, expert interviews, questionnaire method and statistics, It was found that junior school physical education to implement "Physical Education and Health Curriculum Standards" in the gymnastics of content is not optimistic in Dandong. The amount of content is a serious shortage of Gymnastics. Gymnastics venue and equipment obsolete. Teacher for the "standard" knowledge is unclear. the school have paid insufficient attention to set the contents of such gymnastics and so on. This paper proposed measures for improvement targeting the specific situation which is not optimistic. For example:further raise awareness, increase investment, increase their support and cultivate interest ,improve the Shari means.
