There is a close relationship between tennis and science and technology through the developing history of tennis, and there are many scientific and technological elements in tennis. We can say, science and technology plays a very important role in the development of tennis. However, research about the influence of science and technology on tennis in our country is little at present. Under this condition, it is necessary to discuss the influence of application of science and technology on the development of tennis. Thus, the aim of this essay are exposing the relationship of tennis and science and technology, analyzing subtly the reasons why application of science and technology can influence on tennis, and better improving the development of tennis.During the research process of this essay, literature analytic method, video statistics method and expert interviewing method are mainly used. Literature analytic method is the most main method. It is not only provides the theory basis but makes big inspiration of research, it further proofs the influence of science and technology on tennis skills and splendid degree.The research shows that science and technology is widely applied in tennis and formed distinct characteristic, but it has both positive and negative influence on tennis. According to the further system analysis, the main reasons of scientific and technological application in tennis are that science and technology meets the need of development of tennis, tennis provides platform for development of science of technology, commercialization and industrialization of tennis accelerated the application of science and technology, and modern media technology created perfect condition for the combination of science and technology. Above all, to solute this problem, we should promote the return of understanding of tennis value, apply science and technology reasonably and establish its auxiliary status, and balance the possession of high technology between different areas and application of high technology in tennis.In a word, we should value the innovation which related to tennis and need to reconsider the application of science and technology in tennis in time.
