The Investigation And Analysis Of "Good Teachers" Based On The Parents Perspective

On the basis of the relevant study, this research taking the parents who were neglected relevant to interest of education as the breakthrough point to study the basic quality of a good teacher should possess based on the parents perspective.The study follows the basic norms and requirements of action research, which used many specific methods synthetically,such as literature search, questionnaire, interview and so on. The purpose of the study is to determine the most basic qualities of"a good teacher"by looking into the expectations of parents, and to provide guides for the teacher education and training of education administrator and policy makers, and to provide basis for the establishment of professional standards.Most importantly, the feedback thoughts and opinions beneficial of parents are good for a teacher growing up as an outstanding teacher, as long as realizing the existing problems and shortages of teaching and systematic, planned improving.In this study, the relevant concept was defined, the methods and process was expounded, 850 parents were investigated and 10 parents were depth interviewed. The survey found that the parents expect teachers whose age from 20 to 40, school age from 6 to 20, and B.S. degree to educate their children.The basic quality of a good teacher should possess is "having a sense of duty" and "being patient with your students" based on the parents perspective. The qualification of "good teacher" in Parents mind top 10 include: have a high degree of responsibility, being patient with your students, dealing fairly with your pupils, have a more interesting manner in teaching method, easy to understand, encouraging students consider by themselves, attaching great importance to cultivating the ability, giving a thorough exposition, reasonable homework, cultivating of virtues, being good at guiding ang helping his pupils, considerate.The main conclusions of this paper are induced as follows:firstly,patience and responsibility are the most important attributes in a teacher.Secondly, the The basic quality of a good teacher should possess based on the parents perspective is first in occupational moral, and second in professional quality and the mental quality, and some other quality demand is not high. The third, students and parents knowledge of a good teacher are a high degree of consistency. Finally, the standard of a good teacher is different in parents perspective from different age grading. The revelation of the research shows that: We can reference parents mind "good teachers" should have quality to build a "good teachers" professional standards. Furthermore, we give teachers good advice for a teacher growing up as an outstanding teacher: Teachers should have the strong professional mannerism, keeping on developing skills and expertise, having good mental qualities, raising your professional competence, paying attention to the demand differences of parents, raising your professional competence in an all-round way, keeping in touch with parents, and so on.
