Study On "Good Class Teachers" In The Eye Of Pupils

The class teacher plays an important role in promoting the overall development of students.As an “important others” in the growth stage of primary school students,whose words and deeds can exert a potential influence on students.However,in reality,the evaluation of the class teacher is mostly based on established standards for adults.,and primary school students rarely have the opportunity to express their views.Listening to the voices of primary school students and analyzing the characteristics of good class teachers in their eyes is of great significance for timely and deep understanding of students and carrying out fruitful class teacher work.In this study,senior students from Y primary school in Chengdu were selected as the research object,based on the previous open-ended exploration survey to obtain the dimension description of the good class teacher,combined with literature analysis,The "Questionnaire for" good class teacher "in the eyes of primary school students " was compiled from five dimensions: personality quality,caring students,teaching guidance,class management,and communication coordination.After the questionnaire survey,20 students were selected for focus group interviews.The results show that: students pay more attention to the good class teacher's personality and care for students,but do not pay much attention to communication and coordination.The differences were analyzed by taking the students' gender,grade,academic level,and whether they were class cadres as variables.The statistics found that: there was no difference in the views of fifth and sixth grade students;girls value the performance of class teachers in class management and teaching guidance more than boys;Class cadres attach more importance to good class teachers in terms of class management and communication and coordination than non-class cadres;Students with excellent academic performance and moderate academic performance attach more importance to the performance of class teachers in teaching guidance.Then,the paper explained the influencing factors of students' views on the good class teacher from two main angles: students' physical and mental development and class teacher's words and deeds.Based on the above research results,the article puts forward the following suggestions for doing good work for elementary school class teachers: The class teacher should face up to primary school students' perception of the "good class teacher",improve their personality,pay attention to the students' needs for care,improve the charm of professional knowledge,construct a democratic management model,and follow the principle of Educational discipline;home-school communication should return to the student subject...
